Home At Last

Teri arrived home as planned Tuesday afternoon and is very glad to be there. Her main objective now (aside from continuing to heal after surgery) is getting her digestive system up and running like normal again. After not eating food for several days last week, and still having very little appetite, this will be a gradual process and right now she's focusing mainly on small portions of cereal and soup.
Of course, not eating much means low energy, so she'll spend the next few days resting and trying to take in more calories. She says there is still little to no pain from the surgery, which is definitely a blessing.

  6. hi teri!!! i'm so glad you have this web page to give all of us updates as to your progress. i just want you to know that you are in my thoughts as well in my parents; and grandmother's! i know you've never met my grandmother before, when i talk to her on the phone almost every day, she asks how you are doing. she was diagnosed with stage 3, grade 3 ovarian cancer when she was 77. it was a very scary time for all involved, but she made it though and is doing wonderfully. she told me that she didn't know if she could make it without her string faith in God! i just don't want you to think you are going through this alone...i know if you wanted to talk to someone who went through the exact same thing, my grandmother would be more than happy to share her story with you and listen to yours. just say the word, and i can exchanged you guys' phone numbers. it might be inspirational in a way to share stories with someone who experienced the same thing.

also, i'm not sure if greg told you or not...
if you ever need help around the house, say picking up/laundry, doing dishes or making dinner, don't hesitate to call me. i've known you since greg and i were in kindergarten together, so that makes its, ummmmm.....about 23 years! i do have to work friday, saturday, sunday, monday and tuesday, but i don't need to be at work until 230pm i have wednesdays and thursdays off all day. my home number is 672-6309 and my cell is 785-7055. just call me sometime, even if you just want somoene to play scrabble with!!!!

heck@ I've been baking a lot lately, so if you want, can bring you over a plate full o treats!

i'm sure you have others who want to help, but don't hesitate to call me and scott. you raised my best friend and this would be my way of thanking you!

    take care and god bless.

  10. Fr Merganhagen gave a retreat on prayer that I attended 20 or so years ago. In it he talked about a kind of healing prayer where you visualize the person you are praying for as being healthy and thanking God for them. It is easy for me to see you that way and easier yet for me to thank God for the blessing that you are.
I look forward to seeing you out and about as your strength returns.
    Love,
    Matt & Mary Jane <><
